NCI Benefits Program
401(K) PROFIT SHARING PLAN
NCI’s 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan with New York Life Investment Management is eligible to all full-time and regular part-time employees. Employees may elect to have contributions invested in any of the 15 different investment funds, five retirement-date-based funds, or three different portfolio options available under the plan.
- Eligible employees may contribute on a pre-tax basis 1 - 50% of their base salary (not to exceed annual IRS maximum).
- The company matching contribution is equal to 50% of employee elected pre-tax contributions, up to 6% of eligible pay, subject to the IRS maximum. A four-year vesting schedule applies to the company match.
MEDICAL/DENTAL/VISION PROGRAMS
NCI offers three medical plan options to meet the personal health needs and budgets of our full-time employees and their families. All plans provide our employees and their eligible dependents with major medical and prescription drug coverage.
- Eligible employees may choose among a consumer-driven healthcare plan (CDHP) or Health Reimbursement Account (HRA), an Open Access Plan (OAP), similar in design to a PPO plan, and a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) option for medical coverage.
- The dental PPO plan provides in- and out-of-network coverage options so as to ensure our full-time employees and their eligible dependents are able to follow a regularly scheduled program of dental care with their providers of choice.
- A vision maintenance plan offers a cost-savings option for our full-time employees and their families in need of comprehensive annual eye exams, prescription glasses, and contact lenses.
FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS (FSAS)
Four types of Flexible Spending Accounts allow employees to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for qualifying out-of-pocket expenses, effectively reducing employee tax liability and the cost for qualifying expenses.
- The Healthcare FSA allows employees to set aside pre-tax contributions to pay for qualifying out-of-pocket healthcare expenses. A Flex Debit Card is issued to facilitate ease of account access and payment for qualified expenses or claims.
- Under the Dependent Care FSA, single parents and married couples filing joint tax returns may be reimbursed for up to $5,000 ($2,500 for married taxpayers filing separately) for dependent care expenses each plan year. Qualifying dependents must be under the age 13. A Flex Debit Card is issued to facilitate payment for qualified expenses up to the employee’s contribution level, or claims can be filed for reimbursement for providers not accepting debit card payments.
- For Parking and Transportation FSAs, up to $230 pre-tax dollars per month can be set aside for qualified mass transit and/or parking expenses. Participants may change their monthly contributions as often as once per month in advance of coverage month.
DISABILITY INSURANCE
NCI offers Short-Term and Long-Term Disability benefits through MetLife.
- Short-term disability benefits begin on the 15th day of disability and continue through 90 days of disability. Employees pay a small premium for short-term disability. As a result, the disability payout to the employee, resulting from a qualifying disability, will be non-taxable.
- Long-term disability benefits begin following short term disability, commencing the 91st day of disability, and continue per the terms and conditions of the plan. Long-term disability benefits are provided to all full-time NCI employees at no cost. NCI also offers a long-term disability buy-up plan for our employees who wish to bind additional long-term coverage.
LIFE/ACCIDENTAL DEATH AND DISMEMBERMENT INSURANCE
NCI provides company-paid Basic Life/AD&D Insurance Coverage. The basic coverage benefit is equal to one times (1X) an employee's annual base salary. Employees may also opt for a flat $50,000 in insurance coverage. For coverage above the company-provided limits, employees may purchase supplemental insurance coverage for themselves and their eligible family members.
