“Supporting F-4 modification and QF-4 drone regeneration efforts for pilot certification and weapon system qualifications”

The F/QF-4 System Program Office (SPO) at Ogden is responsible for the program management of the F-4 aircraft, and in coordinating with Eglin AFB, oversees and manages the QF-4 Full Scale Aerial Target (FSAT) system. NCI’s QF-4 OSS&E contract supports the F/QF-4 SPM with various logistics functions. NCI provides expertise to the F-4 SPO in supply chain management, stock control and distribution, technical data research, engineering, program management, data analysis, weapon system modification, and technical data management.

NCI populates a configuration management database that supports the OSS&E certification for the F/QF-4 aircraft system and assists the SPM at Ogden with parts, technical, and engineering support for regenerating the F-4 aircraft from 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group and modifying the aircraft into full-scale drones. The aircraft are then used for pilot certification and weapon system training at Holloman AFB and Tyndall AFB. We provide supply, engineering, and technical support to the F/QF-4 customers in the field, as well as coordinating with and supporting the 691 ARSS Aerial Target program office at Eglin AFB.
