NCI has been providing acquisition, quality assurance, administrative, and technical support to PM SSV since its inception. PM SSV develops and fields high-tech equipment to provide enhanced force protection, and produces state-of-the-art armor protection to defeat ballistic, fragmentation, blast, and flame threats in the theater of war. NCI supports and operates PM SSV’s new state-of-the-art non-destructive test and evaluation (NDTE) equipment to assess armor protective equipment integrity.

NCI provides on-site logistics and operational support to CONUS and OCONUS locations to determine quality and operational status of individual protective equipment in Soldiers’ hands. We assist in inserting new technology directly into field locations to improve critical equipment and provide equipment management and support for NDTE for individual protective equipment. Skilled trained teams operate the NDTE system in production mode to determine Soldier equipment status and identify equipment that requires replacement. Results contribute to the knowledge base for PM SSV in handling their equipment and the protection afforded to Soldiers.
