Air Force Design and Engineering Support Program II (DESP II)
The Design and Engineering Support Program, or DESP II, is a five-year, multiple award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract vehicle for the Air Force community, the Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM), the entire Department of Defense, and other government agencies requiring similar services.
Our DESP II team is comprised of 64 leading edge partners, all top performers in their respective field. The team members were selected based on their excellent past performance records, their overlapping technical capabilities, and complementary weapon system experience. Task orders (TOs) for any functional category requirement will be successfully and flawlessly carried out by our experienced team. Partnering together for success across the full spectrum of the systems engineering life-cycle guarantees top quality results and added value to the client throughout the life of the TO - from research and development to procurement, sustainment, modification, and retirement. Our team's experience extends across the full range of systems and applications in the scope of DESP II.

Using DESP II
The Hill Air Force Base (AFB) contracting office developed a Contract User's Guide to assist Government customers with using the contract vehicle. The guide provides step-by-step processes, checklists, and DESP II contracting points of contact. Recent copies of the guide are located on the Hill contracting website. An overview on how to use the vehicle is below.
- Step 1: Identify requirement and establish a funding source.
- Step 2: Review of scope of work by Hill AFB contracting and Task Order Review Board.
- Step 3: Task order request for proposal (RFP).
- Step 4: Task order proposals submitted by contractors.
- Step 5: Task order evaluation, selection, and award posted to DESP II website.
