The Challenge
The Air Force Medical Service has a continually evolving need to support the modernization of the network infrastructure at 74 Medical Treatment Facilities (MTF's) throughout the world. It is absolutely imperative that the infrastructure at all of these facilities is standardized, current, and adequate to support both current and future information management and movement requirements.

The Solution
We provide a total solution for the customer, from system evaluation, to procurement, to implementation to, Help Desk support. Our solution provides the Air Force MTF's with a network that is "best of breed", scalable, interoperable, standards-based, and flexible. To support this project, we:

• Conduct detailed assessments/surveys of existing medical facilities to determine the "as is" infrastructure and compares it with "to be' infrastructure requirements thereby identifying the gap that must be resolved.
• Produce designs that incorporate IEEE, ANSI, and TIA/EI standards for cable plants and topologies. We designs result in full engineering solution to include computer assisted drawings, installation bill of materials and electrical bills of materials.
• Provide design and engineering solutions resulting in "best of breed" standard-based, interoperable, scalable, and flexible networks.
• Provide architectural design, structured cable plant (fiber and copper), and network electronics for either a complete medical campus or individual buildings within the campus.
• Assist in the preparation of bills of materials and installation procurement documents based on our designs and engineering solutions. We also assists our customer in the technical evaluation of resulting proposals.
• Provide quality control and cutover services both during and after all installations.
• Provide an immediate-response "Tiger Team" to support small projects including: wiring existing, renovated or outlying buildings for specific deployments or in conjunction with minor renovation projects.
• Upgrade LANs within medical buildings providing standard architecture to support current and future functional and clinical requirements.

The Results
We provide the Air Force with a complete solution to this enormous project, from procurement to support. As a result of our efforts, the Air Force Medical Service operates with a standards-based, fully interoperable, scalable and flexible network that has never failed to support current and future functional and clinical requirements.
