NCI Awarded CMS ZPIC Zone 3 Support Contract to Identify and Reduce Fraud

Company now offers Medicare program integrity support in a total of 31 states

RESTON, VA, April 28, 2015 – NCI, Inc. (NASDAQ: NCIT), a leading provider of information technology (IT) and professional services and solutions to U.S. Federal Government agencies, announced today that its AdvanceMed business was awarded the Zone Program Integrity Contractor (ZPIC) contract for Zone 3. The one-year contract, valued in excess of $14 million, is in support of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The company will provide program integrity (PI) services to identify and reduce Medicare fraud in the seven states covered under this award: Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin.

NCI’s services under this contract include performing PI investigations, making coverage and coding determinations and implementing administrative actions. In addition, the company will assist CMS in developing a list of entities that may require future monitoring, and referring cases and supporting law enforcement in the investigation and prosecution of those cases. The company also will help coordinate potential fraud, waste and abuse mitigation activities with appropriate Medicare entities.
